Have you been thinking about getting a new, straighter smile?

Orthodontics – or teeth straightening treatments – enable patients to have a healthier, straighter more attractive smile.

Teeth can be straightening using traditional metal braces, tooth-coloured ones, or clear aligner treatments such as Invisalign.

Straight teeth are easier to clean and less susceptible to chips and cracks caused by pressure on an uneven bite while eating.

Additionally, having a straight smile can help improve your confidence in the way you look and make you feel more attractive.

Many people, especially teenagers and adults feel self-conscious wearing traditional metal braces or orthodontic appliances with visible elements such as elastic bands, brackets or wires. For patients who feel this way, we recommend invisible braces which discreetly move your teeth without other people noticing you’re even receiving any type of orthodontic care.

We see patients of all ages who are looking to straighten their teeth, upgrade the appearance of their teeth and improve their confidence and self-esteem. It’s important to be in good oral health before being fitted with braces or aligners so patients suffering from tooth decay or other oral health issues will need to have these issues resolved prior to treatment. If you’re looking for an orthodontist Milton Keynes, please book a free consultation with us to find out if you’re a suitable candidate for treatment.

There are a wide variety of orthodontic treatments including lingual braces, ceramic braces or, alternatively, invisible braces or aligners. There are also treatments that focus purely on straightening just the front teeth.

Every patient has their individual needs so it’s important to find a treatment plan that works for you, whether you’re looking for the most affordable options or the best possible private treatment available.

If you join us for a complimentary consultation, we’ll be able to find out what your concerns and objectives for your treatment are and will be able to explain suitable treatment and aftercare plans for you at that time.

Many patients may feel some discomfort around their teeth and gums when first wearing their braces or aligners. This is common and the sensation tends to improve after just a few hours as you get used to them. Sometimes braces may rub again the gums and cause problems, so if you experience this kind of soreness, please contact your dentist immediately.
Permanent braces may be inconvenient for people who will need to take them out to play sports or musical instruments or who would like to remove their braces periodically.

Selecting an experienced dentist for your treatment can help to ensure you choose the best orthodontic solution for your unique case and minimise the likelihood of problems occuring during your treatment.

In many cases, it’s possible to straighten your teeth if you’re experiencing common orthodontic issues such as overcrowding, gaps between teeth or uneven teeth. For more complex cases, it’s often a good idea to get a referral to a specialist orthodontist. Please book a free consultation with us and well be happy to let you whether you’d be better off seeing a specialist or if your teeth can be straightened by regular treatment.
